Hygrophoraceae of Lower Puget Sound
North American Mycoflora Project
Waxcap mushrooms are an often colorful but confusing group within Hygrophoraceae. Hopefully, DNA sequencing through the MP will help unravel some of the confusion between species that look very similar morphologically but have distinctly different DNA results. This Project will look at the group from lower Puget Sound and compare them to other West Coast mushrooms, fungi from this group from Eastern North America - and Europe.
