      Location requirements for collections:: Specimens must be legally collected. If collected in a national park, a copy of the permit number must be incuded. Specimens must be received in wax or plastic bags, with a printed specimen label and notes inside the bag, and should be accompanied (electronically) by a spreadsheet that gives the required metadata (the same that was printed on the label).
      Describe identification requirements:: Identified to species, or if to genus, notes, spore print (if possible) and digital image must be included (not just a link to an image stored elsewhere)
      Describe other metadata requirements:: Required data elements: Fungus name and authority, country, state, county, municipality (if relevant), and specific locality (e.g., 2 mi E of Anywhere on rt. 315), geocoordinates (decimal or degree), collector name, collector accession number (if available), date, and any other number that may be relevant, and a link to a MO observation and image.
      Describe preservation requirements:: Specimens dried, placed in bag with label.

      Describe taxa not accepted:: No large polypores. For polypores larger than 3-5 inches in both dimensions, we can accept only a slice.
